PHYSICAL DAMAGE CLAIMS ADJUSTER

Fremont Insurance Company is now accepting applications for a full time Physical Damge Claims Adjuster. SUMMARY

Investigation, evaluation and settlement of auto physical damage claims. Also attempts to effect out-of-court settlement with claimant by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Interviews, telephones, or corresponds with claimant and witnesses; consults police and hospital records; and inspects property damage to determine extent of company's liability, varying method of investigation according to type of insurance.

Estimates costs of repair, replacement, or compensation using estimating software.

Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with claimant.

Recommends litigation by legal department when settlement cannot be negotiated.

Revises case reserves in assigned claims files to cover probable costs.

SUPERVISORY REPSONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
